Stephen prides himself on providing exceptional advice that exceeds clients expectations.
Originally from Oamaru, Stephen honed his skills as a lawyer working in several large law firms throughout Australasia before returning to New Zealand’s South Island and making Queenstown his home a decade ago. Having run his own business/practice, Stephen understands the practicalities of business far better than many lawyers. This shows in the diligence, availability and reliability of service that he provides to his clients.
Stephen’s main areas of speciality are business and commercial property. He acts for numerous large landlords and businesses throughout the lower South Island. He has also recently acted for the KCL Group on the purchase and public sell down via prospectus of the Farmers Building in Dunedin.
Stephen is recognised in Queenstown as one of the leading commercial lawyers and often receives referrals from other professional service providers in town.

Without hesitation, I would recommend Stephen Brent. I have received superb legal advice from Stephen across a wide range of commercial issues. He has been pivotal in the major decisions made by our Company over a number of years. It is extremely important to our business that we can rely on the legal advice we receive. I have enjoyed Stephen’s personality and the way in which he conducts business.
