Tayleur Barnard

Elliot is a commercial property and construction lawyer in Cavell Leitch’s wider property team.

He is an expert in all aspects of retail, industrial and office leasing (acting for both landlords and tenants) and advising landlords and owner-occupiers on the acquisition and sale of commercial property. Elliot also acts on a range of construction matters (with expertise in reviewing and advising on residential and commercial construction contracts) and is a member of the Society of Construction Law (NZ) Inc.

Elliot returned to the firm from the United Kingdom where he was commercial legal counsel for the UK and Europe subsidiary of an international franchise business. Elliot first joined the Cavell Leitch team in 2017 after several years’ experience at another mid-size firm in Christchurch.
